ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani has submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Gilani in light of the ongoing ‘Memogate’ scandal. The prime minister has reportedly accepted Haqqani’s resignation.
Haqqani was in a high level meeting with the Pakistani civilian and military leadership in Islamabad today. President Asif Zardari, Army Chief Kayani and DG ISI Shuja Pasha were all present in the meeting.
