Dear all,
In this holy month of Ramadan over five hundred workers of ATV is facing the fear of redundancy. Now in this Eid media workers (ATV Workers) will be on the streets wondering for jobs and looking for cloths for there children.
On 22nd July 2011 STN's plea, Supreme Court of Pakistan issue orders to put ATV on Hold and says to go off air from 15th of August.
Shalimar recording and broadcasting company Known as STN was ordered to run its own transmition on there own no second party should be involved as the orders were issued .
On the other hand truth is before every one that STN cant run this channel by its own as they were a burden of millions of rupees for pas governments.
Without questioning the issue that who will run the Atv the real question is that where will media workers will go and what they will do?
On May 2011 in a high level meeting with media workers President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari issue orders to federal minister for information and broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan to issuer the jobs of media workers and I was in that meeting too. Orders were clear as it was to ensure that media workers will be provided with job security.
Democratic government should act on president of Pakistan's orders and provide safe employment to the media workers of ATV.
But on the other hand ATV Management got a stay order and both parties left media workers in open sky no one to give them shelter.
Only ten days left as they will be jobless by the act.
Is there is any one from government or her spokesman who will answer the question that what these media workers had done except hardworking and taking ATV to its top level?
