یاد رہے کہ سنہ دو ہزار تین میں دونوں ممالک کے درمیان لائن آف کنٹرول پر جنگ بندی کا سمجھوتہ ہوا تھا۔اس سمجھوتے کے باوجود دونوں ممالک کے درمیان لائن آف کنٹرول پر فائرنگ ہوتی رہتی ہے۔

تاہم سنہ دو ہزار تین کے بعد یہ پہلا واقعہ ہے جس میں اتنا جانی نقصان ہوا ہے۔

بدھ کو نماز عید کے اجتماع پر ایک قرارداد منظور کی گئی جس میں حکومت پاکستان اور فوج سے مطالبہ کیا گیا کہ وہ لائن آف کنٹرول پر امن برقرار رکھیں۔

اس میں یہ بھی مطالبہ کیا گیا ہے کہ ایسے اقدامات کیے جائیں جو امن کو قائم رکھنے کا باعث ہوں اور حالات کو خراب ہونے سے روکا جائے۔

قرارداد کے الفاظ میں لائن آف کنٹرول پر صورت حال خراب کرنے کی کسی بھی کوشش کو عوام برداشت نہیں کریں گے اور عوام ہر ایسی کوشش کی مذمت اور مزاحمت کریں گے۔

قرارداد میں مزید کہا گیا ہے کہ ’کچھ لوگوں کو لائن آف کنٹرول پر امن پسند نہیں۔ ایسے لوگوں کے اپنے مقاصد ہوسکتے ہیں اور عوامی مسائل کا ان سے کوئی تعلق نہیں ہے۔‘

وادی نیلم کے رہائشیوں نے بی بی سی بات کرتے ہوئے دعویٰ کیا کہ حالیہ ہفتوں میں ان کے علاقے میں شدت پسندوں کی سرگرمیوں میں قدرے تیزی آئی ہے۔

انہوں نے خدشہ ظاہر کیا کہ لائن آف کنٹرول پر ہندوستان اور پاکستان کی افواج کے درمیان فائر بندی خطرے پڑ سکتی ہے اور اس علاقے کا امن ایک بار پھر متاثر ہوسکتا ہے۔

مقامی لوگوں کے بقول ’زبان اور حلیے سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ یہ کشمیری نہیں بلکہ پاکستانی ہیں اور ان میں بھی اکثریت پنچابیوں کی ہے‘۔

فائر بندی کے معاہدے سے قبل لائن آف کنٹرول پر دونوں ممالک کی افواج کے درمیان گولہ باری کا تبادلہ معمول کی بات تھی۔

اس کے نتیجے میں وادی نیلم کا خط سب سے زیادہ متاثرہ ہوا تھا اور سینکڑوں افراد ہلاک اور زخمی ہوئے تھے اور املاک کو نقصان پہنچا تھا۔

سندھ کے سینئر صوبائی وزیر ڈاکٹر ذوالفقار مرزا نے کابینہ اور اس کے ساتھ

فساد کی آگ بھڑکانے کی انتہائی گھناؤنی کوشش ہے۔

یا عدالت ہی کرسکتی ہے لیکن انہوں نے پس پردہ ڈرائینگ روموں کے اندر اب

’زبردستی گمشدگیوں کا سلسلہ روکا جائے‘

انسانی حقوق کی عالمی تنظیم ایمنسٹی انٹرنیشنل نے حکومتِ پاکستان پر زور دیا ہے کہ وہ زبردستی لوگوں کو لاپتہ کرنے کا سلسلہ ختم کرے۔

ایمنٹسی انٹرنیشنل کی جانب سے جاری ہونے والے ایک بیان میں پاکستانی حکام سے کہا گیا ہے کہ وہ لازمی طور پر جتنی جلدی ممکن ہو سکے بڑے پیمانے پر زبردستی گمشدگیوں کے سلسلے کو روکے اور حراست میں لیے گئے افراد کی وکلاء اور عدالتوں تک رسائی کو ممکن بنائے۔

گمشدگیوں کے عالمی دن کے موقع پر جاری ہونے والی رپورٹ’ تلخ ترین ایذاء، پاکستان میں زبردستی گمشدگیوں کا خاتمہ‘میں سال دو ہزار ایک میں دہشت گردی کے خلاف جنگ میں امریکہ کا اتحادی بننے کے بعد سے پاکستان میں زبردستی حراست میں لیے گئے سینکڑوں افراد کو خفیہ مقامات پر رکھنے اور ان کی حالت زار کو اجاگر کیا گیا ہے۔

ان تمام افراد کے بارے میں تاحال معلوم نہیں ہو سکا ہے کہ وہ کہاں ہیں۔

رپورٹ کے مطابق پاکستان میں ایسے لوگ جن پر دہشت گردی میں ملوث ہونے کے الزامات لگائے گئے ہیں اور حکومت پاکستان کے سیاسی مخالفین جیسا کہ سندھی اور بلوچی قوم پرست گروہوں کے ارکان وہ افراد ہیں جو لاپتہ ہو رہے ہیں۔

اس مسئلے کو حل کرنے کے وعدے کے تین سال گزرنے کے باوجود اب بھی سینکڑوں خاندان اپنے پیاروں کی قسمت کے بارے میں جاننے کے لیے بے چین ہیں

سیم ذولفی کے مطابق ’اس مسئلے کو حل کرنے کے وعدے کے تین سال گزرنے کے باوجود اب بھی سینکڑوں خاندان اپنے پیاروں کی قسمت کے بارے میں جاننے کے لیے بے چین ہیں‘۔

’یہ صرف وہ متاثرین نہیں ہیں جو کہ براہِ راست متاثر ہیں بلکہ ان کے خاندان نہ صرف جذباتی طور پر بلکہ عملی اور قانونی طور پر آگے نہیں بڑھ سکتے ہیں جب تک ان کو یہ ٹھیک طرح سے یہ معلوم نہیں ہو جاتا کہ گمشدگی کا کیا بنا ہے‘۔

آمنہ مسعود جنجوعہ نے جن کے شوہر سال دو ہزار پانچ سے لاپتہ ہیں، ایمنٹسی انٹرنیشنل کو بتایا کہ’ یہ کسی بھی فرد کے ساتھ پیش آنے والی بدترین صورتحال ہے، اگر کوئی مر جاتا ہے تو اس پر آپ روتے ہیں اور لوگ آپ کی ہمت بندھاتے ہیں اور کچھ وقت کے بعد آپ اس سے سمجھوتہ کر لیتے ہیں، لیکن اگر کوئی لاپتہ ہو جاتا ہے اور اس صورت میں آپ سانس نہیں لے سکتے، تو بدترین ذہنی اذیت ہو گی‘۔

Balochistan observes Akbar Bugti's 5th death anniversary

QUETTA: Fifth anniversary of former governor and a leader of the Bugti tribe, Nawab Akbar Bugti was observed in Balochistan Friday, Geo News reported. A complete shutter-down was observed in different areas of Balochistan including Quetta.

The call for shutter-down strike was given by Baloch Republican Party (BRP) and Jamhuri Watan Party (JWP). All the business activities and transport were suspended in different areas of Quetta while strict security measures were also taken.

Other areas including Noshki, Turbat, Sibbi, Bolan, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Qallat, Khuzdar Mastong and Panjgor also observed shutter-down.

According to the JWP spokesperson, black flags will hoisted on party office buildings while the workers will use black arm bands to mark the anniversary.

Other Baloch nationalist parties including BNF, BNP along with Pakistan Muslim League (PML) and Jamat-e-Islami have also favored to observe the strike.

The chief of JWP, Nawabzadah Talal Bugti has appealed to the political parties, civil society, traders and transporters to make the black day successful.

JWP chief Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti was killed in a historical operation carried out by security forces in Kohlu on August 26, 2006.

International media organisation condemns attacks on journalists

PESHAWAR: International media watchdog Reporters Without Borders condemned on Wednesday three recent attacks on journalists – two of them by policemen – in Peshawar.

A reporter was badly injured when a TV crew was ambushed on August 22. A TV crew covering an area that haad been attacked by a suicide bomber was brutalised by police in the Tribal Areas on August 19. Lastly, police raided the headquarters of an Urdu-language daily on August 6.

“The attacks are taking place at a time of increasing physical danger for the media in which journalists are often the targets of reprisals. Not a month goes by without a journalist being murdered and the frequency of cases of police violence against the media has grown markedly since the start of the year,” the Paris-based organisation said in a press statement.

“There is an urgent need for a reaction from the Pakistani authorities,” it added. “If security measures are not adopted quickly, coverage of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the neighbouring Federally Administered Tribal Areas will become impossible for local journalists, who are caught in the crossfire of violence from various sides.”

The organisation also said, “The police should be investigating these cases of violence against the media but, instead, their actions are adding to the dangers for journalists. We urge those in charge of the Peshawar police to adopt firm measures to put an immediate stop to the police abuses, which in some cases have been extremely grave, and to punish those responsible.”

A crew from a private news channel was ambushed in a high-security area near government buildings and the high court in the centre of Peshawar at around 2:30pm on August 22. The crew consisted of reporter Hazrat Khan Mohmand, desk editor Syed Waqas Shah and technical manager Gul Sher. A person from an online newspaper affiliated with the channel, Nisar Khan, was also in their vehicle.

As police looked on, the TV crew’s route was blocked by men using two motor-cycles and a car who fired shots and hit Mohmand with stones, inflicting him with a serious head injury. Shah said he requested help from the police but they made no attempt to provide assistance. Mohmand was rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital in a serious condition. The attack was thought to have been prompted by the channel’s coverage of an alleged case of corruption involving Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain, who denied having anything to do with the attack and accused the TV station of defamation and broadcasting baseless reports.

Another private news channel’s bureau chief Shaukat Khattak, cameraman Imran Khan and Anwar Khan, the operator of their digital satellite news-gathering (DSNG) truck, were detained and tortured by police in the Peshawar suburb of Hayatabad on August 19 after going to a Hayatabad hospital where victims of a suicide bombing in a mosque had been taken for treatment.

“We had come with our DSNG truck to the hospital where the injured were taken after the suicide bombing of worshippers in the mosque in the town of Jamrud, in the Khyber Agency. When we arrived, we were told that there was a risk of another suicide bombing and that the media should stay away. We followed police instructions but a policeman hit me from behind while I was talking on the phone,” Khattak told Reporters Without Borders.

The three TV men were then taken to the Hayatabad police station where they were held for several hours until fellow journalists intervened to obtain their release. Khattak said that the police inflicted serious hand injuries on his cameraman and DSNG operator. “I think they have fractures because the police hit us with great violence,” he said.

The beating of the three journalists came just days after police chief Fayyaz Toroo appointed a commission to examine the growing number of cases of police violence against the media. It was the subject of a demonstration by journalists outside the office of the province’s chief minister and it was also condemned by Khyber Union of Journalists president Arshad Aziz Malik.

Police searched the headquarters of an Urdu-language daily on August 6 claiming that a criminal had taken refuge there. The raid prompted protests by many journalists and, under pressure, police chief Toroo suspended the officers responsible for the raid. Pakistan is the world’s deadliest country for the media, with eight journalist murdered so far this year.

 In a statement the leading media personalities have taken serious exceptions to the unfounded and shameful accusations hurled by an irresponsible person against a media body of most credible journalists of the South Asian region in a talk show by Ms Mehr Bukhari that violates all ethics of professional journalism. If Mr Zaid has committed an extreme defamation which incites public sentiments against SAFMA and its thousands of members, Ms Mehr Bukhari, Crossfire team, Dunya TV management have intentionally tried to malign a media body and its leaders by allowing such a provocative and damaging statement.

 The media representatives expressed their serious concern over the Crossfire's slanderous program anchored by Ms Mehr while taking exception to the dangerous trend in the electronic media of maligning various personalities and credible organizations. What is quite despicable is that Mr Zaid, Ms Mehr, her team, and the owner of Dunya TV, did not have the decency to invite some SAFMA representative to rebut atrocious allegations aired by the TV channel.

 Appreciating SAFMA's remarkable role in defense of right to know, freedom of expression, press freedom, rights of journalists, media development, peace and regional cooperation, the senior journalists endorsed SAFMA's decision to sue the so-called analyst, anchor, her team, and the management of the Dunya TV. It may be mentioned that the Secretary General of SAFMA, Imtiaz Alam, President SAFMA Pakistan, Nusrat Javed, and other office bearers of various SAFMA branches in Pakistan have decided to issue libel notices to the concerned accusers and make them pay for their highly irresponsible and provocative conduct.

Indian Govt. Confirms Mass Graves in Indian Kashmir

Indian authorities have confirmed the existence of mass graves in Indian-controlled Kashmir, containing bodies of more than 2,000 people apparently killed in a long-running separatist conflict.

India's Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights Commission released a report Sunday saying a three-year investigation has uncovered 2,156 unidentified bodies in 38 sites in the region.

Indian authorities conducted the inquiry in response to allegations that Indian security forces have committed rights abuses in fighting a more than two-decade-long Muslim separatist insurgency.

Rights groups accuse Indian security personnel of killing Kashmiri civilians in staged gun battles and passing them off as militants when handing the bodies to residents for burial. The Indian government commission did not confirm that allegation. It called for DNA profiling to identify the bodies discovered in the mass graves.

Rights activists say at least 8,000 people have gone missing in Indian Kashmir since the separatists began fighting in 1989 for independence from Hindu-majority India or a merger with Muslim-majority Pakistan. Rebel attacks and Indian government crackdowns have killed at least 50,000 people.

Kashmir is divided between India and Pakistan and claimed in full by both.

کشمیر: اجتماعی قبروں کی سرکاری تصدیق

گزشتہ دو دہائیوں میں کشمیر میں ہزاروں نوجوان لاپتہ ہوئے ہیں

بھارت کے زیرانتظام کشمیر میں حکومت کے حقوق انسانی کمیشن نے اعتراف کیا ہے کہ وادی میں اڑتیس مقامات پر دو ہزار ایک سو چھپن افراد اجتماعی قبروں میں دفن ہیں۔

بھارت کے زیرانتظام کشمیر میں گزشتہ اکیس سال کے دوران یہ پہلا موقع ہے کہ انسانی حقوق کے سرکاری کمیشن نے وادی میں اجتماعی قبروں کی موجودگی کا انکشاف کیا ہے اور کہا ہے کہ ان میں دو ہزار سے زائد افراد کو دفن کیا گیا ہے۔

پچھلے چھ سال سے انصاف کی جنگ لڑرہی ستائیس سالہ تسلیمہ کے لیے یہ انکشاف حوصلہ افزا ہے۔ ان کا کہنا ہے ’اب انصاف میں دیر نہیں لگنی چاہیئے۔‘

دو ہزار سات میں تسلیمہ کے خاوند نذیر احمد ڈیکہ کی لاش ضلع گاندربل کی ایک گمنام قبر سے برآمد ہوئی تھی۔

جنوبی کشمیر کے ڈکسم کوکر ناگ کے رہنے والے نذیر احمد ڈیکہ کو پولیس کے سپیشل آپریشن گروپ نے سولہ فروری دو ہزار چھ کو سرینگر سے اغوا کروایا اور گاندربل میں ایک فرضی جھڑپ کے دوران انہیں ہلاک کرکے پاکستانی شدت پسند کے طور پر گاندربل میں دفن کیا گیا۔

تسلیمہ اُن سینکڑوں خواتین میں سے ہیں جن کے خاوند یا بیٹے لاپتہ ہوگئے ہیں۔ تسلیمہ کا معاملہ اس لیے مختلف ہے کہ ایک سال اندر ہی انہیں معلوم ہوا کہ ان کے خاوند کو فرضی جھڑپ میں ہلاک کیا گیا۔

تسلیم کے خاوند کو فرضی جھڑپ میں مار دیا گیا تھا

اب سوال ہے کہ اُن دو ہزار ایک سو چھپن لاشوں کی شناخت کیسے کی جائے جن کے بارے میں سرکاری کمیشن کا کہنا ہے کہ انہیں شمالی کشمیر کے اڑتیس مقامات پر انہیں اجمتاعی قبروں میں دفن کیا گیا۔

ریاستی حقوق انسانی کمیشن کے سربراہ جسٹس بشیر احمد نے بیی ابھی حکومت کو رپورٹ پیش نہیں کی گئی ہے، تاہم وہ اس سلسلے میں حکومت کو جوابدہ بنانے کے لیے سرگرم ہیں۔ ان کا کہنا ہے: ’کافی طویل تفتیش کے بعد ہم کچھ طے کرپائے ہیں۔ اب شناخت کا مسئلہ ہے، ہمیں امید ہے کہ ہم انصاف فراہم کرنے میں کامیاب ہوجائیں گے۔‘

قابل ذکر ہے دو ہزار سے دو ہزار آٹھ میں انسانی حقوق کے لیے سرگرم مقامی اداروں نے ایک جائزہ رپورٹ جاری کی جس میں بتایا گیا کہ شمالی کشمیر میں ایسی درجنوں اجتماعی قبریں ہیں جن میں دو ہزار آٹھ سو افراد کو دفن کیا گیا ہے۔

سری نگر سے ایک سو دس کلومیٹر دور کوکر ناگ کے رہنے والے نذیراحمد ڈیکہ اور اس کے چار پڑوسیوں کو پولیس کے سپیشل آپریشن گروپ نے ایک اعانت کار فاروق پڈرو کے ذریعہ اغوا کروایا اور گاندربل کے قریب ایک فرضی میں ہلاک کرنے کے بعد انہیں مقامی لوگوں کے سپرد کیا گیا۔ ان سے کہا گیا کہ وہ پانچوں غیرمقامی شدت پسند تھے جو تصادم میں مارے گئے۔

پولیس تفتیش کے دوران جب فرضی جھڑپ کا انکشاف ہوا تو حکومت نے چار پولیس افسروں اور کئی اہلکاروں کو گرفتار کیا۔ لیکن اب معاملہ عدالت عالیہ میں ہے۔

اپنے والدین اور سسرال والوں کی بے توجہی کی شکار تسلیمہ کہتی ہیں: ’میرے دو بچے ہیں۔ میرے خاوند کا کیا قصور تھا۔ اگر حکومت اب مانتی ہے کہ وہ بے قصور تھا، تو مجھے انصاف ملنے میں دیر کیوں ہو رہی ہے۔‘

UN Deplores Continued Human Rights Violations in Pakistan

The United Nations is urging Pakistan to investigate human rights violations, including several recent attacks on journalists.

A spokesman for the U.N. human rights commissioner, Rupert Colville, said Friday the U.N. agency has recently received reports on the killing of a journalist in Baluchistan province and the disappearance of another in the North Waziristan tribal region .

Colville said the attacks are the latest in a series of reported abductions, disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Pakistan since 2007.

Speaking to VOA, Colville said media rights groups name Pakistan as one of the most dangerous places, if not the most dangerous place, for journalists.

He cited the Committee to Protect Journalists as saying that at least 16 reporters were killed last year, while nine others have been killed this year. Colville said Pakistani authorities have failed to fully investigate any of the cases.

The U.N. human rights spokesman said that in Baluchistan alone, there were reports that 25 people — including journalists, writers, students and human rights defenders — had been extrajudicially killed during the first four months of this year.

In June, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan said that 140 people, including journalists, were found dead between July 2010 and May 2011 after initially being reported missing.

بیٹے کی حراستی گمشدگی پرمہتابہ بیگم 2دہائیوں سے انصاف کی متلاشی کریک ڈائون کے دوران بھری بھیڑ میںبی ایس ایف نے گرفتارکیاتھا،پولیس نے ایف آئی آر بھی درج نہیں کیا سرسمیٹے مہتابہ بیگم آج بھی اپنے اکلوتے فرزند کی تلا میںینگر/ اپنے چہرے کی جھریوں میں دو دہائیوں کا درد  سرگرداں ہے۔ 21سال کے طویل اور صبر آزما انتظار و تلاش بھی اس کی انکھوں کو خشک کرنے میں ناکام رہے اور آج بھی اپنے لخت جگر کا ذکر چھڑتے ہی اسکے آنکھوں سے اشکوں کی جھڑی لگ جاتی ہے ۔ 14 اکتوبر1990کی تاریخ کرہامہ کپوارہ کی مہتابہ بیگم کیلئے ایک ایسا کرب لے کر آئی کہ ہنوزاس کے درد کا مداوانا ممکن نظر آتا ہے۔ 14اکتوبر کوکرہامہ کے گاؤں کابی ایس ایف کی 76ویں اور 56 ویں بٹالین کے ذریعہ کریک ڈاون ہوا اورمہتابہ بیگم کے اکلوتے نور چشم28 سالہ محمد ایوب خان کو لوگوں کے جم غفیر کے درمیان گرفتار کر لیا گیا ۔ پیشہ سے ٹانگہ بان محمد ایوب کرہامہ سے کپوارہ تک ٹانگہ چلا کر اپنی 3بیٹیوں ،ایک بیٹے ،بیوی اور بیوہ ماں کی کفالت کرتا تھا ۔ مہتابہ بیگم کے مطابق کریک ڈاون کے دوران اسکے بیٹے سمیت مزید 3 افراد کو گرفتار کیا گیا لیکن ان تین افراد کو اگر چہ بعد میں رہا کیاگیا تاہم محمد ایوب خان کا کوئی سراغ نہ مل سکا ۔اگلے روز صبح سویرے مہتابہ بیگم گاؤں کے چند بزرگوں کو لے کر باترگام میں واقع بی ایس ایف کیمپ میں اپنے بیٹے کے متعلق معلومات حاصل کرنے گئیں لیکن مہتابہ بیگم کی دنیا تب اجڑ گئی جب بی ایس ایف نے محمد ایوب کی گرفتاری سے ہی انکار کر دیا اور اسی کے ساتھ مہتابہ بیگم کی وہ تلاش شروع ہوئی جو آج تک ختم نہیں ہوئی اور شاید اب اس کی موت کیساتھ ہی اختتام پذیر ہو ۔ بیٹے کی جدائی کے غم میں نڈھال مہتابہ نے پولیس سے رابطہ کیا لیکن اس دکھیاری کی مصیبت کی داد رسی یہاں پر بھی نہ ہوئی اور پولیس نے ایف آئی آر درج کرنے سے انکار کیا۔مہتابہ بیگم کے مطابق انہوں نے عدالت کا رخ کیا تو عدالت نے کپوارہ کے جوڈیشل مجسٹریٹ کے ذریعہ معاملہ کی تفتیش کروائی جس دوران یہ بات سامنے آئی کہ محمد ایوب کو بی ایس ایف کی76اور56ویں بٹالین نے ہی گرفتار کیا اور زیر حراست ہی اسکی گمشدگی رونما ہوئی۔ تفتیشی رپورٹ قبول کرتے ہوئے عدالت عالیہ نے پولیس کو اس کیس کے ضمن میں ایف آئی آر درج کرنے کی ہدایت جاری کی اور تین سال بعد 1993میں محمد ایوب کی زیر حراست گمشدگی کے بارے میں ایف آئی آر زیر نمبر01/1993درج کی گئی۔لیکن ملوث بی ایس ایف اہلکاروں کیخلاف کوئی کاروائی عمل میں نہ لائی گئی کیونکہ نئی دلی سے ان اہلکاروں کیخلاف کاروائی کی اجازت نہیں دی گئی ۔مہتابہ بیگم نے ریاست اور بیرون ریاست ہر جیل کی خاک چھان ماری کہ کہیں پر اس کو اپنے اکلوتے بیٹے کا کوئی سراغ مل سکے ۔ مہتابہ کے مطابق’’کرہامہ کپوارہ میں ہماری کل2کنال اراضی موجود تھی لیکن اپنے بیٹے کی تلاش میں، میں نے وہ بیچ ڈالی ،مجھے امید تھی کہ میرا بیٹا واپس مل جائے گا تو میرا چین و سکون بھی لوٹ آئے گا،مجھ دکھیاری کے پیروں میں چھالے تک پڑ گئے لیکن مجھے اپنے بیٹے کا دیدار نصیب نہ ہوسکا‘‘ ۔ ایک طرف اپنے بیٹے کی تلاش دوسری طرف اسکے پسماندہ عیال کو پالنے کیلئے مہتابہ بیگم نے گھروں میں چاول چننے اور دوسرے چھوٹے موٹے کام کرنے شروع کردیئے ۔ہیرا نگر،کٹھوعہ،ریاسی، ادھم پور،کوٹ بلوال غرض کونسی ایسی جیل ہے جہاں مہتابہ اپنے ایوب کی تلاش میں نہ گئی ہولیکن ہر بار اسے ناکامی کا ہی منہ دیکھنا پڑا۔ اس اثنا میں مہتابہ بیگم نے ریاستی انسانی حقوق کمیشن کے سامنے اپنی عرض داشت پیش کی ۔جنہوں نے تفتیش کے بعد یہ ماناکہ محمد ایوب کو بی ایس ایف نے گرفتاری کے بعد لاپتہ کردیا اور اس ضمن میں مہتابہ بیگم کے حق میں ایکس گریشیا واگذار کرنے کی بھی سفارش کی لیکن مہتابہ بیگم کا کہنا ہے کہ اسکے اکلوتے بیٹے کے سامنے پیسوں کی کیا وقعت ؟ محمد ایوب کی جدائی میں مہتابہ بیگم کے سامنے ’صبر ایوبؑ ‘کے سوا کوئی چارہ نہیں۔لیکن مہتابہ کو یقین ہے کہ ایک دن اس کو انصاف ضرور ملے گا اور اسکے بیٹے کے مجرموں کو دردناک سزا ملے گی ،چاہے وہ دن قیامت کا ہی دن کیوں نہ ہو؟

 

Nawaz demands immediate elections

LAHORE: PML-N Chief, Nawaz Sharif has demanded that elections be held in the country immediately, Geo News reported.

While speaking to Geo News, the PML-N chief said problems faced by the country could only be solved if elections were held immediately. He added that it was the responsibility of the nation to stand up against the government and ensure that no one played with their mandate.

On supporting the PPP, Nawaz said that his party tried working with the PPP initially but there was no substance to the relationship. Shairf said that all the political parties should go to the people and the people should decide about the future of Pakistan.

انا ہزارے کا مطالبہ ہے کہ حکومت پارلیمان میں ایک مضبوط انسدادِ رشوت ستانی بل پیش کرے۔

انہوں نے حکومت کے موجودہ لوک پال بل کے مقابلے میں ایک متبادل ’جن لوک پال بل‘ حکومت کو پیش کیا ہے جس میں وزیراعظم اور عدلیہ کو بھی لوک پال کی تفتیش کے دائرے میں لانے کی تجویز ہے لیکن حکومت اسے ماننے کے لیے تیار نہیں ہے۔

کشن بابو راؤ ہزارے نے، جو انّا کے نام سے معروف ہیں منگل سے جے پرکاش نارائن پارک میں ’مرن برت‘ رکھنے کا اعلان کیا تھا تاہم منگل کو علی الصبح پولیس حکام نے انہیں ان کےگھر سے حراست میں لیا۔

دلّی پولیس نے انہیں تادمِ مرگ بھوک ہڑتال کی اجازت نہیں دی تھی اور ان سے کہا گیا تھا کہ وہ صرف تین دنوں کے لیے ہڑتال کر سکتے ہیں اور ساتھ ہی ان پر بیس سے زیادہ شرائط عائد کی گئی تھیں جن میں یہ شرط بھی شامل تھی کہ بھوک ہڑتال کے مقام پر پانچ ہزار سے زیادہ افراد موجود نہیں ہوں گے

گرفتاری سے پہلے جاری کیے گئے ایک ویڈیو پیغام میں انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی ہے کہ وہ پورے ملک میں گرفتاریاں دیں ۔ داخلہ سیکرٹری آر کے سنگھ نے انا کی گرفتاری کا جواز دیتے ہو ئے کہا کہ انا ہزارے نے پولیس کو بتایا تھا کہ وہ حکم امتناعی کی خلاف ورزی کرتے ہوئے دھرنا دیں گے ، اس لیے انہیں گرفتار کرنا پڑا ۔

جے پی پارک اور دیگر کئی علاقوں میں دہلی انتظامیہ نے دفعہ ایک سو چوالیس بھی لگا دی ہے اور وہاں چار یا اس سے زیادہ افراد کے ایک جگہ جمع ہونے پر پابندی ہے۔

دلّی پولیس نے انا کو تادمِ مرگ بھوک ہڑتال کی اجازت نہیں دی تھی اور ان سے کہا گیا تھا کہ وہ صرف تین دنوں کے لیے ہڑتال کر سکتے ہیں اور ساتھ ہی ان پر بیس سے زیادہ شرائط عائد کی گئی تھیں جن میں یہ شرط بھی شامل تھی کہ بھوک ہڑتال کے مقام پر پانچ ہزار سے زیادہ افراد موجود نہیں ہوں گے

تاہم انا نے انتظامیہ کی جانب سے لگائی گئی بائیس شرائط میں سے چھ کو ماننے سے انکار کر دیا تھا جس کے بعد انہیں حراست میں لے لیا گیا۔ انا ہزارے کے ایک ساتھی اروند کجریوال نے این ڈی ٹی وی کو بتایا کہ ’پولیس نے ہمیں حراست میں لے لیا ہے‘۔

منموہن سنگھ کی حکومت بد عنوانی پر قابو پانے اور اس اس کی ذمے داری لینے کے بجائے قربانی کا بکرا تلاش کر رہی ہے۔

انا ہزارے کے ساتھ ایک ’مضبوط لوک پال قانون‘ کے لیے جدوجہد میں مصروف سابق پولیس افسر کرن بیدی نے کہا ہے کہ جب انا ہزارے نے پولیس سے پوچھا کہ ان کا جرم کیا ہے تو پولیس نے کہا کہ’ہمیں حکم ہے‘۔

کرن بیدی نے الزام لگایا کہ یہ گرفتاری کانگریس پارٹی کے کہنے پر ہوئی ہے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ دلی پولیس ہمیشہ سے دھرنوں اور مظاہروں کو منظم کرتی آئی ہے اس لیے وہ خود سے ایسا کوئی قدم نہیں اٹھائے گی۔

بھارتی ذرائع ابلاغ کے مطابق دلّی پولیس کو خدشہ ہے کہ انا ہزارے کی ہڑتال سے شہر میں امن و امان کی صورتحال خراب ہو سکتی ہے کیونکہ ان کے ہزاروں حامی اس موقع پر ان کے ساتھ بھوک ہڑتال کرنے کے لیے شہر میں جمع ہیں۔

انا کی گرفتاری کو حزب اختلاف نے بھارتی جمہوریت کے لیے ایک افسوسناک دن قرار دیا ہے ۔ راجیہ سبھا میں حزب اختلاف کے رہنا ارون جیٹلی نے کہا ہے کہ ’اس وقت سوال لوک پال بل کے بارے میں اختلافات کا نہیں ہے۔سوال یہ ہے کہ ایک شخص جس نے بد عنوانی کے خلاف پرامن مہم چلا رکھی ہے اسے احتجاج کا حق حاصل ہے یا نہیں‘۔

ارون جیٹلی نے کہا کہ منموہن سنگھ بھارت کی تاریخ کی سب سے بدعنوان کابینہ کی سربراہی کر رہے ہیں ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اختلاف اور احتجاج کے حق کا سوال پارلیمنٹ میں اٹھایا جائے گا ۔

اس وقت سوال لوک پال بل کے بارے میں اختلافات کا نہیں ہے۔سوال یہ ہے کہ ایک شخص جس نے بد عنوانی کے خلاف پرامن مہم چلا رکھی ہے اسے احتجاج کا حق حاصل ہے یا نہیں۔

پارٹی کے سینیئر رہنما ایل کے اڈوانی نے کہا ہے کہ انہیں انا ہزارے کی گرفتاری پر کوئی حیرت نہیں ہوئی ہے کیونکہ حکومت اسی سمت میں بڑھ رہی ہے۔ ان کے مطابق ’منموہن سنگھ کی حکومت بد عنوانی پر قابو پانے اور اس اس کی ذمے داری لینے کے بجائے قربانی کا بکرا تلاش کر رہی ہے‘۔

ملک کے کئی شہروں میں انا ہزارے کی حمایت میں مظاہرے بھی شروع ہو گئے ہیں جبکہ دلی اور ديگر شہروں میں سینکڑوں لوگوں نے گرفتاریاں دی ہیں۔

بی جے پی کی زیر قیادت قومی جمہوری اتحاد کے رہنما انا ہزارے کی مہم کے بارے میں ایک متفقہ موقف وضع کرنے کے لیے ملاقات کر رہے ہیں جبکہ منموہن سنگھ کی حکومت اور حکمراں کانگریس نے ابھی تک خاموشی اختیار کر رکھی ہے۔

A Journalist Munir Shakir was gunned down in Khuzdar

Further investigation was underway  Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has strongly condemned the killing of Munir Shakir in Balochistan, on August 14. Shakir was heading home from Khuzdar Press Club when some unknown armed men opened fire on him. He was taken to District Headquarters Hospital, where he passed away.
According to Abdul Rasheed Butt, member of Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ), Shakir worked for Online News Network and was also the correspondent of Balochi TV, Sabzbagh.
Butt said Shakir had never received any threats. The deceased journalist was in his early 30s and had been associated with journalism for the last 7 to 8 years.

Munir Ahmed Shahkir, a senior journalist of Khuzdar district, was shot dead by unknown armed men when he was passing from Hospital Road. He received several bullet wounds and was rushed to the nearest hospital but he succumbed to injuries. Police quoting eyewitnesses said the assailants were riding a motorbike and fled the scene after showering bullets on the deceased. Hospital sources said the man died due to excessive bleeding.
A large number of journalists and relatives of Shahkir reached at the hospital. Police handed over the body to the heirs after completing legal formalities.
The journalist community strongly condemned the brutal murder of the veteran journalist and demanded immediate arrest of culprits. They also announced three-day mourning over the killing and demanded protection for newsmen.
Four journalists including two former presidents of Khuzdar Press Club had been killed in the past two years. Balochistan Union of Journalists also condemned the murder, saying in a statement that 13 journalists had been killed in Balochistan during the last three years but so far not a single murderer had been arrested.
On the other hand, Levies Force personnel recovered a decomposed body lying in a desolated area in Loralai district and moved it to a local hospital for autopsy. The identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained.In a statement, PFUJ President Pervaiz Shaukat condemned the latest killing. He said Shakir’s murder exposed the government’s failure to safeguard the lives of journalists.
He said since the start of 2011, a large number of journalists have been killed in the line of duty and the security people have miserably failed to nab the culprits and provide safety to media persons.
PFUJ Secretary-General Amin Yousuf strongly condemned the latest target killing of Shakir. He came down hard on the government, criticizing it for failing to protect the lives of journalists. He said the government had not taken any notice of the target killing. “The PFUJ would be left with no choice but to take extreme steps if this trend did not stop,” Yousuf said.
Journalists are being targeted for their work, and they are performing their duties under the most trying times, he added.
Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) President Esa Tareen also condemned the incident. He said this was not the first incident in Balochistan as many journalists had been threatened, attacked, injured and even killed in the past. He said this was a continuing trend and none of the culprits had ever been arrested.
Tareen termed it as a conspiracy against journalists and demanded the government to unveil the conspiracy and expose the perpetrators of the crime. He said journalists in various districts of Balochistan were providing information and reporting without any salary and on top of it were being threatened by various elements.
He said due to the insecure situation prevailing in the province, many journalists have been compelled to leave the profession. He stressed on the government to take notice of the killing and take concrete steps to provide security to them as this was giving a bad name to Pakistan in the international communi

KHUZDAR: The President of Khuzdar Press Club and a senior journalist Mohammad Khan Sasoli has been killed, police confirmed.

Officials said unidentified persons opened fire on Mohammad Khan Sasoli on his way back home.

No group has accepted responsibility for the killing yet.

The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has condemned the killing of Mohammad Khan Sasoli, President of Khuzdar Press Club in Baluchistan and Correspondent of DawnNews TV here on Tuesday night by unknown assailants and demanded of the government to ensure arrest of perpetuators.

According to the reports reaching the PFUJ Secretariat, Mohammad Khan Sasoli (36) after doing his routine professional assignments left Khuzdar Press Club for his home situated in Labour Colony on his vehicle at 7.30pm. When he reached in front of his house two unknown motorcyclists wearing masks opened indiscriminate fire on him moment he come out of his vehicle. He received four bullet wounds in his head, chest and died on the spot. The assailants later fled from the scene.

He was married and leaves behind a son, a widow, old father, mother and three brothers and sister to mourn his death. He was in the profession for the last 15 years and worked for Daily “Zamana, Royal TV, news agency INP while presently he was working for DAWNNEWS TV. He belongs to a poor family and was occasionally paid by the Dawn News.

The journalists of Khuzdar claimed that almost all members of the Khuzdar Press Club were threatened by various pressure groups and Balochistan National Liberation Moment. About eights months ago President of the Khuzdar Press Club Faiz Din was also killed but his killers are still at large.

Likewise, Lala Hameed Baloch, Correspondent of urdu-language Daily Intikhab of Gwadar was found dead on Nov 18 with gunshot wounds. His killers are too not arrested so far.

This is fourth death of a media person in Pakistan during the last 10 days and 15th during the current year which is highest in the entire world.

Condemning the killing of Mohammad Khan Sasoli, the PFUJ Secretary General, Shamsul Islam Naz termed it a direct attack on democracy and freedom of press. Shamsul Islam Naz added that this incident has once again proved that the media persons are forced to work in hostile environments and they are not being provided any protection both from the government and media houses.

The PFUJ said that “an act of violence on a media practitioner is not only a crime against the individual victim, but it also represents an attack on freedom of expression, which is a fundamental right and a cornerstone of democratic society”.

The PFUJ asked the Balochistan government to spare no effort in investigating this murder and bringing the culprits to justice.

The PFUJ demanded that aggrieved families be also compensated forthwith and it urged the world media organisations to send fact finding missions to Pakistan to assess the miserable conditions of media persons and their killing owing to negligence of media owners and failure of the government to protect the life of media persons
